IMPORTER CUSTOMERS – DUE DILIGENCE “CIRCULAR 170”

ONE Customer,

Considering the guidelines established in Colombia, which require the verification of customers with whom we maintain relationships and our suppliers, we would like to inform you that we proceed due diligence on all consignees of our Bills of Lading (B/L), requesting and validating the information established under Circular 170.

When we receive a request to create new consignees from our worldwide offices, we proceed to contact the consignees so that they can register on our local website. After providing their RUT and Chamber of Commerce (Cámara y Comercio) certificate, the user is activated so they can upload the information. Once the information is complete and fully approved, the activation is authorized, and the company is created and Origin ONE personnel can be able to cut the B/Ls to that Consignee.

If this process is not completed 10 days prior to the arrival of the cargo, we will proceed to request a Change of Destination from the origin so that the cargo is returned to the port of origin or sent to the transshipment port until the process is complete, which generates additional costs for Freight, Administrative Cost of COD (Change of Destination), re-stowage, and possibly Warehousing.

We appreciate your attention and management to avoid extra costs.
