ONE’S CX1 SERVICE | UPDATE #2 - SERVICE TO/FROM MANAUS IN 2024 - DROUGHT SITUATION

ONE's Caribbean Service 1 (CX1), which serves Manaus and Vila do Conde, both ports in the northern region of Brazil, is still available to meet your shipping needs. 

ONE is monitoring the situation on the rivers of the Amazon Basin and is taking all the necessary steps together with its partners to have the best plan available to ensure the transportation and delivery of your cargo. 

According to the 19th Hydrological Bulletin of the Amazon Basin, we have seen a variety of behaviors over the last few weeks in different river basins in the region. However, they are still below the expected volume for this time of year. Even with some rivers showing regular rises, such as the Branco and Negro, it is possible that this will impact navigability in the region. This phenomenon, which would normally only occur in the dry season in September, is the result of the severe drought faced in 2023.

Below is the reference graph of the Rio Negro in Manaus, in a stable condition, but still with an alert indication, updated on May 10, 2024.
