OCEAN NETWORK EXPRESS ENHANCES ASIA-WEST COAST SERVICE WITH ARRIVAL OF ONE SPHERE IN LATIN AMERICA

São Paulo, 13 May 2025 - Ocean Network Express (“ONE”) is pleased to announce the arrival of ONE Sphere, a company-owned 13,800 TEU newbuild vessel to the West Coast of Latin America. ONE Sphere commenced its maiden voyage in March, departing  Asia  with scheduled port calls in Mexico, Peru, and Chile.

Delivered in March 2025, ONE Sphere is the Company’s second owned newbuild vessel, following the delivery of ONE Sparkle a month earlier. The vessel features methanol and ammonia-ready fuel capability and energy-saving innovations like a bow windshield cover—all designed to optimize efficiency and reduce environmental impact.
 

Strengthening Asia–Latin America Connectivity

ONE Sphere will enhance the Company’s service offerings on its trade lanes connecting Asia and Latin America. The vessel is deployed on ONE’s Asia–Latin America Express service (ALX1), which includes direct coverage to Taiwan. This service offers the fastest transit time from Chile to Asia for perishable fresh fruit, helping exporters’ cargo reach markets in prime condition.

With over 1,700 reefer plugs, ONE Sphere ensures refrigerated cargo from Latin America to Asia is transported with optimal freshness and preservation, with a strategic port rotation: Yantian - Hong Kong - Keelung - Shanghai - Ningbo - Pusan - Manzanillo - Lazaro Cardenas - Callao - Pisco - Iquique - Puerto Angamos - Valparaiso - San Vicente - Yantian - Hong Kong - Keelung - Shanghai - Ningbo - Pusan
